I am extremely pleased to announce that I am now a member of the website Illustrators for Hire. I have long been a fan of this website, and looked to it as the benchmark of quality as I've developed my own professional practise.
And now to have been accepted as a member is a total honour. This website is specially curated to display only highly professional, experienced and trustworthy illustrators that are for hire for bespoke projects and commissions. So to become part of the community is a testament to my hard work over the last 7 years.
The specialism of illustration that I have chosen to display my work in is Animals and Wildlife. Animals and Wildlife illustration is an area that I wish to explore further in my illustration career, and I particularly enjoy mixing fauna with flora and botanical illustration to give a sense of the wildlife in their natural habitat.
My absolute wish list of animal illustrations which I would love to explore is vast. But if I had to name a few, I would love to work on projects featuring pets, such as dogs, cats and guinea pigs as well as zoo animal illustrations for children's picture books. My illustrations would work for non-fiction and factual book publishing also as I can work to the detail and accuracy required for reference book illustration.
Another wish list illustration project would be under the sea themed, I have recently illustrated seahorses, a whale, narwhal and jelly fish swimming in a coral reef and would revel in a full book project of this nature.
